Starion Instruments

Starion offers versatile tissue sealing devices. I can use them as a dissector and a grasper, as well as a cutter and sealer, which means I have fewer instrument exchanges during surgery…

Additionally, the products have a comfortable handle design and a compact power supply making it easy for me to use and my operating room staff to set-up.

General Surgery
Starion’s products employ focused thermal energy and pressure to simultaneously seal and divide tissue. By applying direct heat instead of electrical, radio frequency or ultrasonic energy, Starion products can reduce unintended thermal injury, minimize instrument exchange and improve visibility. Because of the underlying simplicity of our Tissue Welding technology, surgeons find Starion equipment extremely reliable, easy to operate, which provides the confidence of improved clinical results during many types of general surgical procedures. Suregons performing surgery.

Starion’s Cautery Forceps and Thermal Ligating Shears (TLS2 and TLS3), have been successfully used in thousands of procedures over many years.

Starion’s new Thermal Ligating Shears (TLS3) features two active jaws with heating elements on each, creating a uniform, higher integrity seal in less time. The ability to grasp and dissect soft tissue, as well as seal and divide, reduces the need for instrument exchanges. Offered in three working lengths, 14cm, 23cm and 35cm, the TLS3 is specifically designed for larger vessel sealing and other challenges encountered in general surgical procedures.
