Starion Instruments

Starion offers versatile tissue sealing devices. I can use them as a dissector and a grasper, as well as a cutter and sealer, which means I have fewer instrument exchanges during surgery…

Additionally, the products have a comfortable handle design and a compact power supply making it easy for me to use and my operating room staff to set-up.

Pediatrics
Starion instruments are particularly well suited for pediatric procedures for several reasons. First, Starion devices employ direct heat and pressure to simultaneously seal and divide tissue, potentially reducing unintended thermal injury. Because pediatric surgeons are operating in small spaces thermal spread is a concern. Additionally, Starion equipment does not require grounding pads, extra suction or saline. Lastly, Starion instruments used in both open and laparoscopic surgeries support pediatric surgeons’ needs for reliable, minimally invasive devices. Child sitting on examination table.

Starion’s instruments commonly used in open and laparoscopic procedures include the Cautery Forceps, the UltraSlim Cautery Forceps and the TLS2. Additionally, a compact Universal Power Supply generates only the specific amount of heat needed for each specific Starion device.

Because of the underlying simplicity of Tissue Welding core technology, pediatric surgeons find Starion equipment reliable and easy to operate, which provides the confidence of improved clinical results during many types of pediatric procedures.
